آشنایی با زندگی ایلان ماسک
در این بخش از مقاله تصمیم داریم نگاهی کلی و اجمالی به زندگی و کسب و کار این نابغه عرصه فناوری داشته باشیم تا بتوانیم از او و فعالیتهایش درس بگیریم:
کودکی، نوجوانی و دانشگاه
ایلان ماسک در سال ۱۹۷۱ در پرتوریای آفریقای جنوبی چشم به جهان گشود. پدر و مادر او هر دو افرادی بافرهنگ و باسواد بودند ولی زندگی آنها چندان دوام نیاورد و وقتی ایلان ده سال بیشتر نداشت از هم جدا شدند. پدر او یک مهندس آفریقایی بود که در انگلیس بزرگ شده بود. مادرش هم یک بانوی کانادایی بود که در زمینه رژیم غذایی و مد فعالیت میکرد. خانواده ایلان، پنج نفره بود و ایلان اولین فرزند این خانواده به حساب میآمد. بعد از او یک پسر و یک دختر از این پدر و مادر به دنیا آمدند.
بعد از اینکه پدر و مادرش از هم جدا شدند، او تصمیم گرفت زندگی خودش را در کنار پدر و در آفریقای جنوبی سپری کند. وی ده ساله بود که اولین کامپیوتر خودش را خرید و شروع به یادگیری برنامهنویسی کرد. به قدری سریع رشد و پیشرفت میکرد که همه از سرعت او شگفتزده شده بودند. در طی دو سال به حدی رشد کرد که توانست یک بازی کامپیوتری طراحی و برنامهنویسی کند. او موفق شد این بازی را به قیمت ۵۰۰ دلار به فروش برساند. این بازی نمایانگر رویاهای او است. او از همان دوران کودکی شیفته و عاشق سفر به فضا بوده است. جالب است که این بازی هنوز هم وجود دارد و علاقمندان با ورود به بازی Blaster میتوانند از این بازی لذت ببرند. او در دوران مدرسه همیشه مورد آزار و اذیت همکلاسیهایش قرار میگرفت. این آزار و اذیتها یک بار باعث شد که کار او به بیمارستان کشیده شود.
پروژه اول: Zip2، تجربهای بینظیر
ایلان ماسک در سال ۱۹۹۵ با همراهی برادر کوچکترش شرکتی نرم افزاری راه اندازی کرد. این شرکت Zip2 نام داشت. این کسب و کار به موفقیتها بزرگی دست پیدا کرد و توانست مشتریان بزرگی مانند روزنامه نیویورک تایمز را به خود جذب کند. لازم به ذکر است که ایلان و برادرش این کسب و کار را به کمک سرمایه ۲۸ هزار دلاری پدرشان ثبت و راه اندازی کردند. درست است که همه چیز این شرکت به ماسک تعلق داشت ولی هیئت مدیره با ریاست او بر این شرکت موافقت نکردند. سال ۱۹۹۹ بود که یک شرکت دیگر تصمیم گرفت Zip2 را خریداری کند. ۷ درصد از مبلغ فروش شرکت معادل ۲۲ میلیون دلار به ایلان ماسک رسید و او پیش از رسیدن به ۳۰ سالگی توانست میلیونر شود. گفتنی است که این پول به ایلان این اجازه و قدرت را میداد که کسب و کار بعدی خودش را راه اندازی کند و به درآمد بیشتر برسد و علایق خودش را هم دنبال کند.
پروژه دوم: سیستم انتقال پول پی پال «PayPal»
ایلان پس از فروش Zip2 تصمیم گرفت یک سرویس پرداخت اینترنتی به نام X.com راه اندازی کند. این کسب و کار با یک سرمایه ۱۰ میلیون دلاری آغاز شد. پس از آن این شرکت با شرکت دیگری به نام کانفینیتی یکی شد. این دو شرکت ادغام شدند و کار خود را با شدت تمام پیش گرفتند و در نهایت توانستند سیستم انتقال پول پی پال را که پیش از آن در اختیار کانفینیتی بود توسعه دهند. این دو شرکت در سال ۲۰۰۱ تغییر نام دادند و نام آنها PayPal شد. مشکلات ایلان ماسک با هیئت مدیره آغاز شد و در نهایت در سال ۲۰۰۲ هیئت مدیره این شرکت تصمیم گرفت پی پال را به یک شرکت دیگر به نام eBay بفروشد. ماسک ۱۱.۷ درصد از سهام این شرکت را در دست داشت و وقتی این شرکت به مبلغ ۱.۵ میلیارد دلار فروخته شد، ۱۱.۷ درصد از آن به ایلان رسید. او به عنوان شخصیتی ثروتمند شناخته میشد.
پروژه سوم: اسپیس ایکس؛ کسب و کاری برای تحقق رویاهای کودکی ایلان ماسک
این شرکت در سال ۲۰۰۲ به عنوان یک شرکت اکتشاف فضایی شروع به کار کرد و از همان لحظه آغاز به کار در پی رشد و پیشرفت سریع بود. ایلان ماسک به قدری به این شرکت علاقه داشت که میخواست خیلی زود با اکتشافهای این شرکت به رویاهای خودش دست پیدا کند. این شرکت میخواهد به فناوری حمل و نقل فضای دست پیدا کند. حمل و نقل فضایی از دیدگاه این شرکت تنها به کمک فناوری موشکی ممکن و میسر است. این شرکت تاکنون پیشرفت خوبی داشته و موفق به طراحی وسایل نقلیه فضایی تحت عنوان فالکن ۱ و فالکن ۹ هم شده است.
ایلان ماسک هم مدیریت عامل این شرکت را بر عهده دارد و هم مدیر ارشد فنی آن است. وی توانست با تحقیق و پژوهش فراوان موشکهایی بسیار ارزان بسازد و حتی از این راه به حاشیه سود ۷۰ درصدی دست پیدا کرد. وی این شرکت را با یک سرمایه ۱۰۰ میلیون دلاری که از کارهای قبلی خودش جمعآوری کرده بود راه اندازی کرد. اسپیس ایکس در سال ۲۰۰۸ قراردادی با ناسا به مبلغ ۱.۶ میلیارد دلار امضا کرد. این شرکت وظیفه داشت محمولههای مورد نیاز یک ایستگاه فضایی را برای آنها ارسال کند.
این شرکت تصمیم دارد که از طریق سفر فضایی انسان را به ماه بفرستد و همچنین دارد روی پروژه جدیدی برنامهریزی میکند. این شرکت میخواهد از طریق این پروژه هزینه سفرهای فضایی را به شدت کاهش دهد. به گفته ایلان ماسک اصلیترین و مهمترین رسالتی که شرکت اسپیس ایکس بر عهده دارد این است که تمدن بشری را به فضا برساند و انسان را در سایر سیارههای منظومه شمسی ساکن کند.
پروژه چهارم: تسلا
شرکت تسلا موتورز یا Tesla در سال ۲۰۰۳ تأسیس شد. جالب است بدانید که این شرکت به دست ایلان ماسک تأسیس نشد و مارتین ابرهارد و مارک ترپنینگ بنیانگذاران این شرکت بزرگ بودند. یک سال پس از تأسیس یعنی سال ۲۰۰۴ بود که ایلان ماسک هم روی این مجموعه سرمایهگذاری کرد و در جایگاه رئیس هیئت مدیره قرار گرفت. ایلان ماسک در سالهای اولیه حضور خود در این شرکت در فرآیندهای روزمره شرکت وارد نمیشد و به همین خاطر تسلا روند رشد و پیشرفت خودش را بدون ماسک طی میکرد. ماسک در طراحی و تولید اولین خودروی برقی شرکت تسلا نقشی مهم و اساسی ایفا کرد و به اصلیترین چهره این شرکت تبدیل شد.
ناگفته نماند که این شرکت به تولید خودروهای برقی اسپرت و گرانقیمت هم میپردازد که این نوع اتومبیلها هم طرفداران و علاقمندان خاص خودشان را دارند. در سال ۲۰۱۴ ایلان ماسک تمامی حقوق ثبت اختراع را به رایگان در اختیار شرکتهای خودروسازی قرار داد تا ساخت خودروهای برقی بیشتر شود و از این طریق کمک بیشتری به محیط زیست بشود. گفتنی است که تسلا در زمینه تولید باتری هم فعالیت دارد و تاکنون در این زمینه موفق عمل کرده است.
